More details
You need an empty and a full weight ticket for a PPM. Here is how to find a public scale near Fort Carson. [2]
How to use the locator
- Open the CAT Scale locator (catscale.com). It is run by a company, not the government. Search near Fort Carson. Use the base name, a nearby town, or a ZIP code.
- Pick a scale on your route, near where you will load or unload.
- Call ahead to confirm hours and certification. Ask if they will give you a signed ticket, and what it costs.
Ask about on-base or government scales
Ask your transportation office if there is an on-base or government scale you can use. The Coast Guard names government scales as an option. [4]
Next: read what the official sources say about weight tickets, then see the Fort Carson housing guide.
